I cannot open links in emails and get the following message 'This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer.  Please contact your system administrator.'

This has only happened this week and I am the only person to use this machine.  I have tried the 3 Fixes suggested in some other answers to no avail.  Does anyone have any ideas please????

I am using Outlook 2003 with Windows XP.  Thanks, Jackie

I want to assign font colors to email messages based on the email address of the sender or the recipient. In previous versions of Outlook I used to do this.

However, in Outlook 2013 if I use Advanced View Settings > Conditional Formatting then I can assign a font color but only filter messages based on the From and To names (and not email addresses). If I use Rules then I can filter messages by email addresses (not just names) but assign only categories to them and not font colors.

How can I assign font colors to the list of email messages based on the email address(es) of the sender or recipient?

Thanks!

I am in the process of moving my significant others email from a POP3 account accessed via Outlook 2007, to Outlook.com. The connector has been reasonably good about transferring most items; but Distribution Lists in Outlook do not seem to come across at all. I know that Outlook.com uses "Categories" rather than groups, but how hard would it be, knowing the list of addresses in the Distribution List, to add those contacts to the Category.

As far as I can tell, while it looks like the list copies successfully when using the Outlook connector, if I go to Outlook.com on the web, the new group is empty. Closing Outlook and re-opening, syncs the empty group into the Outlook.com Contacts list. Really, how hard would it be to implement something that would simply work. You (Microsoft) control both sides of the translation...just make it work.

I am using Microsoft Office 2010 with Outlook 2010 with an exchange account.

My system uses .OST files for my main mailbox. I have several legacy .PST files from Outlook 2007. I have the data files (.PST) attached and can see them and access the messages in the PST files. I can delete messages from the .PST files. I can move messages from one folder to another folder within the same .PST file.

I cannot move email messages from my .OST mail box to any .PST file. I cannot move messages from one .PST file to another .PST file. When I try to do this I get the following message: “Cannot move the items. You don't have appropriate permission to perform this operation.”

I’ve taken ownership of the .PST file and given all permissions on the .PST file.

Have ran the SCANPST on the PST file and I still cannot add email messages from my OST inbox to a .PST file.

Can someone help me to be able to move email messages from my .OST to my .PST files?
