I use Outlook 2013 to connect to my university-sponsored Office365 Exchange account.  I use three different PCs all running Windows 8.1 (a desktop PC, a laptop, and a tablet) to connect to this account.  On two devices this works perfectly. But on the tablet the connection works forma few hours, after which Outlook disconnects from  Exchange and will never reconnect again, even if Windows is shut down and restarted. When this happens I delete the email account and recreate the account. This will establish a connection with Exchange which will access email, etc. for a few hours, after Outlook announces that it is disconnected and once again, no connection can be established again.  What is the problem. FYI, the tablet is a Dell Venue 8 Pro.

I have office 365 . IN this is outlook.com. Can I work offline in a plane, open e-mails and answers. I realize it will not be send out as long there is not a connection.

Is there a system I need to follow to work Offline.

Was titled owner in outlook.com forum.

I am having issues sending and receiving outlook emails. I am getting both errors 0x800ccc0b and 0x800ccc13. One of them is saying it can't find a connection, but my internet connection is just fine. Out look will just keep trying to send/receive and it won't work and I will get the error message, but then if I shut down outlook and restart the internet connection and then reopen outlook it will work and send out all of the emails caught in my outbox and I will also receive a bunch of emails all at once, but then it will stop working again. I have Outlook 2013 and am using a POP3 account. It is really driving me crazy, I would love to be able to fix it.
Whenever I try to use my my mobile broadband connection Outlook warns me of metered connection and asks if I want to connect anyway. If I confirm, it tries to connect and almost always fails, resulting in the disconnected status. Very frustrating, but effectively can't use Outlook with the modem connection. Sometimes, on an exceptionally strong signal, it succeeds. Does anybody know how to solve this issue?

This week there were a lot of problems with the outlook mail through Microsoft.  Everything through work started working again, but I have been having issues with my iPhone 4S (slow sync time).  This morning I started getting an error message Cannot get mail the connection to the server failed.  I called AT & T, they could not help, I called the Apple Geniuses, they could not help and suggested I contact Hotmail (Outlook) for help.  Since there is no way to speak to a person, this forum is my only option.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thanks.
When I go into my hotmail account on my ipad and I phone, I get a message cannot get mail, connection to the server failed. also another message saying this message has not been downloaded from the server? What do I do ? It was working fine yesterday.
i have a few accounts feeding into my ms office 10. one of them needs to be kept, for records, but no longer connection to the original email service. i just want it to be there dormant.

the only 2 ways i can see to deal with it is either delete the entire account from office, or close/cancel the VERY annoying pop up telling me the action cannot be completed when office tries to connect to the originating server.

so how to kill the settings, but keep the data?

We are using an exchange server

Emails from specific users always cause a connection to server lost message.

It doesn't matter if I am displaying in the preview pane or if I have it opened.

If I leave it open/viewed, my computer will toggle between "the connection to the server has been lost" and "connection to the server restored.

I also get some sort of messages while the connection is lost whenever a reminder tries to sound and it seems like a reminder routinely tries to sound when I loose the connection.

Running windows 7 professional - service pack one.

Recently migrated to full Office 365. All programmes fine except Outlook 2013 which cannot connect to server. I am using MSN premium run on Windows 8. My outlook 2013 icon on taskbar recognises when I have unread mail with the yellow envelope insert  (& conversely does not show it after I have gone in to Hotmail & read it) but when I click send & receive nothing updates although Send receive progress shows all completed On checking on the notification area I see that Microsoft Outlook cannot connect to server. I have gone & created a new EAS profile which I have saved as default & as far as I can see my Outlook 2010 which still works fine has all the same settings as were transferred across to 2013 Any suggestions please
