I have set up Office 2010 to use the Corporate OWA server.  Windows 8 operating system.  Everything works fine except the free/busy calendar information does not display.  If I hover over the invitee (greyed bar), it says that "no free/busy information could be retrieved" and "your server location could not be determined".

I have the same exact setup (OWA) with a Mac Pro using OSX 10.8, Office for Mac 2011 and it works perfectly.  I think it might have something to do with the way I configured Outlook 2010 for use with OWA, but not sure exactly how to fix it without blowing it out and starting over.  It took me 6 hours to download my mailbox and all attachments, so I am hesitant start over.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I can tell, not only is it impossible to create a search folder in OWA, it is also not efficient at updating folders that were created for the mail account using a local Outlook application. Is there any possibility of the Search Folder capabilities being added to OWA?

I'm using the 2010 Outlook client on Windows 7.   The crashing/restarting happens every hour or two completely randomly.    It was working fine until recently after i logged onto OWA and deleted 100,000 emails out of one of my folders.    It worked and i'm not showing those messages on my client anymore however ever since then my client has been crashing frequently.

Please help!!

Where I work, the email is all OWA. We recently lost power for a few days due to Storm Sandy. Our Tech department shut down the server on Monday at 7pm right before the power went out and restarted it on Wednesday at 1pm when the power returned. Any emails that were received during this time period were "lost." Is it possible to avoid losing these emails that were sent to me during the time the power was out and our server was down? If so, how? The tech department I work with said that it is unavoidable and that the messages are lost, never to be recovered.

Thank you for your help,

Georgina

I bought OWA services. I add more than 500 external  contacts . It doesn't  show more than 500 contacts.

Estimados,

Danilo Carvajal.

I have to use Outlook Web Access rather than the full version where I work.  I have no other option at my remote office.  Unfortunately, I really don't like the conversation view but I can't find a way to switch it off.  Is there a way?

How do I find the OWA server for an existing user (e.g., http://XXXXXX.outlook.com/owa)? I neglected to write it down for several users when the mailbox was created and now I cannot find which OWA servers these mailboxes are on anywhere.

I have an Office 365 e-mail account.  I connected to the Outlook Web Application and moved some e-mails from my inbox to another folder I had created.  However, when I connect to the same account through IMAP, all of the e-mails that I had moved in the OWA were still in the inbox!

Also, I connected to the account in Outlook via a direct connection to Exchange and tried to move some e-mails that way, but the OWA didn't sync with the changes I made.

Can somebody please tell me what's going on here?

Hello

Our customer replaced an employee. They went in and changed the username of the account in the management portal to the new employee.

Now I can access the Lync form the users PC no worries with the new User name and password. I can log into the owa portal and see the old users emails and the new users emails. But when I create a new profile in Outlook 2010 on the PC I am unable to set the account up manually of automatically.

Using the Auto setup the configuration stops at retreiving server settings. It just sits there with the little wheel spinning until i click cancel and then it advises it will try connecting with no encyption which fails. When using the Manual setup I click to resolve the server name and password and it advises the exchange is not online.

I have followed the how to setup the outlook manually from the website which advises about http connection etc...

From the Owa I have the server address as sinprd0310.outlook.com

I ran the download from the website and did any updates but this PC was accessing the email under the original employees name. It only stopped working when the User name was changed.

I would try recreating the account but there are a few hundred emails in the account.

I have also tried setting up the account both manually and automatically on a second machine with the same errors.

Any help or ideas would be great. If you need more info please let me know.
