I cannot get outlook to send my emails in windows 10, I have an AOL acct, and use an older outlook

I am using Outlook 2007 for my emails and for some time recently I have noticed that in the Inbox column it is showing the time and date the email was downloaded rather than the time the Sender sent it to me.

When I open the email the correct sent time is shown.

I have searched and racked my brains and can't find how to change this.  Any help greatly appreciated please.

I have created a custom template in "user templates in file system". How can I set up one of my email accounts to use this template by default?

running windows 10 my outlook 2007 starts but shuts down right away saying there is a problem It runs ok in safe mode

can any one help with how to fix

I;ve tried all the settings all the do this / that -- updates -- all of it

it doest fricking work!!!!!

I want my outlook 2007 that I OWN to download my email from the server when I access it on my desktop -- says I can change this but only if it is set up as POP -- and I CANT SET IT UP UNDER POP IT WONT LET ME -- ive changed everything on the web access setting, ive deleted and tried to reinstall the profile in outlook -- NADA BUBKISS -- this is total BS

i even uninstall my office 2007 to reinstall, updated outlook ---NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING WORKS

i cant even get Zimbra Desktop to do this --- WTF

Thunderbird works ok but I dont like the email interface THUS THE OUTLOOK -- I started using thunderbird for other email accounts (i have exactly 9 that I have to monitor for home / work / other) Outlook offers some items i like that Zimbra is also to support

I can only get Zimbra to pickup gmail (hate it too btw!!!) no pop / or imap server combinations work --

Why must a new version of a program completely destroy the working functionality of the existing program!!!!!!!!!!! FIX IT

I check my email on my phone but because I have emails I have to keep for indefinite periods and to "refer" back to -- I want to download to my pc and remove from the server -- no amount of folders on the server will help me -- I can set my phone to store replys to the sent folder thus download those as well as in box when I open outlook at home

I GET HOW IT IS TO WORK AND IT USED TO --- BUT NOW NOTHING WORKS  ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE

This is my last resort. I'm not a techie. The situation is this:

Finally was forced into buying a new laptop. It's running Windows 10. I figured out how to get both my hotmail.com and yahoo.com emails forwarded to the built in mail 'app' but have quickly discovered the shortcomings of this app. So...
I have downloaded the 2007 Office program which, of course, has Outlook 2007 and I'm a fan of Outlook having used it for years on my older PCs. I have set it up to interact with my personal email account (ie *** Email address is removed for privacy ***) and that's working fine. I tried to set up my hotmail.com account in Outlook (the program not the app) and no success at all. I get a message saying something like I cannot add a hotmail account while outlook (the built in app, not the program) is running. I've tried all I know how to do and am getting nowhere. It seems that MS just doesn't want you to use anything other than their own built-in-to-10 programs which are woefully inadequate (don't get me started on their new picture viewer app).

Anyone out there have a clue how I can get my Outlook 2007 (program) to recognize my Hotmail.com account and its settings like the good ol' days?

TIA,

T

When someone sends me an email, they receive this message:

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification, Delivery to the following recipients failed permanently: and it shows a different email address!

I DO receive the original email though, but they get the above reply.  It looks like the "failed" email address has somehow attached itself to my actual EMAIL ADDRESS.

Would reinstalling Office Outlook take care of this and if so how can I save existing email?

Thank you

Jim

Have Office Professional 2007 on wife's laptop.  Trying to setup Outlook so she can access her earthlink emails.   Get the following message:

"There is no email program associated to perform the requested action.  Please install an email program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs, control panel."

Outlook comes up in the program list but get this message each time I open it.  I do not know how to create an association in Default Programs.

Can anyone help me out?

1) I am trying to find out if Microsoft provides an e-mail account. If "Yes", then how much does it cost?

2) Is it essential to already have Microsoft Outlook before you can have an e-mail account?

3) How does one get a Hotmail account?
