We use Outlook as our email client. It seems that Outlook updates my folder (i.e. Trash, Deleted Items, any folders I created) during regular business hours. It bogs down my work because I use email exclusively. Is there anyway to schedule the updating of
the folders to a non-business time?

Hi Guys,

I wonder if you can help me, At work we share our calendars with everybody else in our department. The bosses have decided to create project teams do do certain tasks at certain times in the working week. Putting each project teams calendars into groups
is easy but what I want to do is specify certain dates and times for each project group so that when I click on a project group of calendars it only displays the days and times when the people in the team are actually workingg on the project. Forexample team1
works on their project from 15.00 to 17.00 mondays and tuesdays, while team 2 works wednesdays and fridays from 17.00 to 19.00 etc. The other stipulation is that people must be able to edit the calendars to add/delete tasks into 15 min time slots within these
hours.

I guess the only way is to use the SQL tab under the filter setting in view settings then save it as aspecific view associated with each group, but how and what command do I use.

If someone could help me on this it would be much appeciated

I had to format my PC and I reinstalled a legal copy of Office 2010 which I have on CD from Microsoft.

I have Windows 10.

Everything works OK other than I cannot send mail from Outlook. I can receive but not send.

Can someone help please?

I used the media creation tool to reinstall Windows 8.1 when Windows 10 caused problems with my Dell One 27. I
accepted the option to retain my personal files.

Micorsoft outlook has always been my email program, and that seemed to have migrated satisfactorily to the Windows 10 environment. However, on downgrading to Windows 8.1, and restoring Outlook, the MS Outlook system is totally corrupted. By that I mean:
not all folders were transferred; not all folders had content; not all content was up to date; I get the message that ‘Your IMAP server closed the connection’; ‘Failed to update headers’; my contact list appears in an usable format and is not associated with
Address Book

The problems seems terminal, but is there any hope/help, please?

PS. I would like to hear especially from real people. When computers give answers, they behave as though they are talking to another computer, with an endless list of requests for further information and an equally long list of possible cures, clearly with
no regard for human frailty or human time limitations!

I use it quite often to see the who viewed my profile on instagram, here are some quick instructions you can try to see who all viewed your Instagram profile.

Tool: Who viewed my profile on Instagram

1. Go to Who viewed my profile on Instagram

2. Then enter your Instagram profile name that you want to look into.

3. Click Continue

4. Wait for the process to load. You will be redirected to human verification

5. After human verification, all the Profile list on the selected account will be Downloaded.

Making your stories is a lot like Snapchat

Stories are temporary videos or photos that are strung together to form a gallery that, well, tells a story.

Here’s how to create one:

  1. Tap on the plus button found on the top left-hand side of your homescreen or swipe left in your Feed. You can also quickly launch Stories by swiping right from the main screen.
  2. Tap the circle button at the bottom of the screen to take photos or tap and hold to record a video.
  3. Edit the photos or videos with text or add a drawing as you normally would. If you hit the pen icon, there are three types of pens. The third one makes your sketch look like a neon sign.
  4. Tap Done to save your Story.
  5. Tap the check mark button to share to your Story.

Want to add more than one photo or video to your story so that it plays like a slideshow? Just keep repeating the steps. Each photo you add using the steps will be placed in your story.

While you’re at it, why not use your saved snaps from Snapchat as Stories? After you take a snap, tap the Download button. It will save to your camera roll. Then, open Instagram, start a story and swipe down.
A gallery with all of your recent photos will pop up. Tap on your snap and post as usual. You can only use photos that you’ve added to your camera roll in the last 24 hours, so be quick.

You can upload recent snaps to your Stories.Alina Bradford/CNET

The photos and video you chose for your Story will now be a series that people can swipe through for 24 hours. A colorful circle will appear around your profile photo to let your followers know you have a Story for them to view and
your profile picture will also pop up at the top of your followers’ Feeds. All they need to do is tap on your face to see your Story.

If you have a habit of adding things to your social-media accounts that you later regret, good news! Stories can be removed. Tap on the three dots at the bottom right of the photo or video you’d like to delete, hit Delete and
then confirm.

You can upload photos, Boomerangs and Hyperlapses, too

Any photo you shot (or Boomerang you made) in the last 24 hours
can be uploaded to your Story. To upload, swipe down on the screen and choose your videos or photos. You can also choose Hyperlapsecontent for your
Stories, as well.

And yes, there are filters!

Well, not like the puppy face you know from Snapchat. Or the rainbow barf. But there is a way to add filters. After shooting a photo or video, swipe across it add a filter. There are seven filters right now, but we expect Instagram
to add more later on.

Fill in everything with color

Don’t want to share a photo and just need a canvas for drawings or text? Take a photo of whatever, then go to the drawing tool. Choose your color, then place your finger on the photo. Hold it there. The color will slowly fill up the
screen until the whole photo is covered.

Add stripes and polka dots for more photo fun

Tap on the Drawing Tool, tap on the pointed marker at the top of the screen, choose your color and tap on the three-dots button on the bottom left side of the screen. Toggle the line
that appears upward toward the top of the screen. This will make your marker huge. Now to make polka dots, just tap your finger on the photo wherever you want them to appear. Hold your finger on the screen to make an even bigger dot.

To make stripes, go through the same steps, but choose the angled marker instead of the pointed marker. Then just tap the screen. Perfect little stripes will appear on your photo.

How to save a copy of the sent e-mail in the sender’s mailbox and also save in the shared mailbox when email sent via shared email

After adding  DelegateSentItemsStyle value to 1,  sent email goes to only to the shared inbox and not on sender’s sent items.

Outlook Version: 2010

Thanks for the help.

First, I know it is bad form to submit the same issue multiple times.  But, this is the fourth attempt I have made to try and resolve this issue.  In every instance, I get a response to my first post, but after I reply I hear nothing back.  It is as if my
replies are not triggering any flags to identify them as new.  Then, a few weeks later I get the auto-email asking if the issue is resolved.

Here is the issue again, but as this may be the only chance I get, could someone please look this link.  It is my last previous attempt and contains the replies to the things that I was asked to try to correct the issue.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

I have 2 email addresses.  My primary is a Live.ca address and my secondary is an Outlook.com address.  All was working fine with my appts for my primary address showing in the toolbar.  But then, due to another issue I had to remove my primary from Outlook
and re-add it.  When I did, the tool bar is no longer showing that emails appts.  It is showing the appointments for the secondary (Outlook.com) ID.  I have tried going in to Account Setting / Data Files tab to set it as the default.  When I go there I see
that the default account is my secondary (outlook.com) address is the current default and my primary (live.ca) shows “Not Available”.  If I select it anyway Outlook will not accept it.  I get the error “The Selected Outlook data file (.pst) format cannot be
use.  Outlook data files (.pst) must use the same format as offline Outlook data files ).ost).  Select a matching Outlook data file (.pst) or turn off cache mode in the Account Settings.”

I removed the secondary account and when I did, everything went back how it was before.  The appointments under my Live.ca account showed up in the toolbar.  The data tab did have it checked as the default, but no data file name was listed.  Thinking the
problem was solved, I re-added my second account (Outlook.com) and as soon as I did, I was back where I started with it being flagged as the default under Data Files and I cannot select the other.

I’ve searched the message boards but haven’t found anyone with this specific issue.  Any thoughts?

Thanks

TB

PS.  This has been posted twice before.  In each case, MS asked me to re-try what I had already done.  When I posted the results I have never had a response.

We have a user, who when in Cache Mode on Outlook 2010, cannot:

1. Edit an attachment through Outlook 2010 and forward

2. Just Forward an attachment

3. This is also not happening with ALL attachments it only appears to be with certain ones. I cant seem to find a similarity with the ones that don’t work.

If he uses the Edit Message function in Outlook he is able to go in and make changes (generally its an Excel document) to the document, however when he is done and tries to forward the email with the attachment he just edited, it does nothing he can hit
send all day and it wont go any where. This has also happened when just forwarding Excel attachments without editing as well (though not so often).  I have removed the user from Cache Mode in OLutlook….and the issue disappears. He can edit and forward the
same emails without problems.

We use Office 2010 on Win 7 x64 machines.

Thanks,

Chris

how do you know which of the recurrence appointments are corrupt?

I am using Outlook 2010.  I have it set up so that on the right side of the screen, I see a calendar by month (I view 3 months).  then, below that I have what I think is called the Appointments view.  I would expect that it would display as many appointments
as there is room for, but instead, it seems to only display out so far.  I have an appointment on October 11 that I would expect to see and don’t, but I can add something in the last part of September and I do see it.  Is there a limit to how far out it displays,
and if so, is there a way to change that?
