I have a situation where the local PC Outlook 2010 is not updating with Office 365 OWA enterprise E3 plan

Basically, if a change is made on A blackberry or OWA it is not reflected in Outlook 2010 on a local PC

Emails are coming on and going out from Outlook 2010 on the local pc.

If you bulk delete emails from OWA they are still visible on the local pc after many hours.

Mail box is around 35 GB / Limits are 50 GB

does anyone have any ideas as I’m pulling my hair out a bit

I have Office 2013 on my desktop, and also have an Office 365 account. In the Outlook accounts, I have the Office 365 email account, plus five other accounts which are hotmail, three POP/SMTP and one IMAP/SMTP. Up to now things have been working fine, for
about 6 months.

This week a change has occurred which means that when I send emails from two of the POP/SMTP accounts, the outgoing mail goes to the outbox of my Office 365 account, where it remains, unsent. For the other three accounts, the correct Outbox is used, i.e.
the one for the chosen account.

I have checked the settings in the Account Settings dialog. When I carry out the “Test Accpunt Settings” on the POP/SMTP accounts they work fine, the outgoing mail is sent via the correct account.

I have tried setting one of the POP/SMTP account to be the default sending account, but that has no effect. Even after this change the Office 365 account is still used as the default and even if I then change the from account manually, when I send the email
it still appears in the Office 365 Outbox.

I have hunted through the settings but can’t find anything that might change this behaviour.

Can anyone suggest what might be wrong and how to fix? Any help much appreciated.

I work for a company that uses Office 365 and a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync email system.  At work, we use Outlook.  Some of the computers are older than others but no matter which version is installed, Outlook 2007, 2010, 2013, and Office 365 Outlook
all work fine.  

When I’m not at my desk,  can access this email through my Android phone and tablet.  It was easy to set up, only requiring my email address and password, and I didn’t have to be connected to the company network to do this.  Emails get pushed to my devices
as they are sent.

No matter what I try at home, I cannot find a way to sync this to my desktop.  Other coworkers who have Apple devices also had to issues on their phone or tablet.  It’s so easy for Android and iOS devices, yet I can’t seem to figure this out on my desktop
or laptop.  Am I overlooking something?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello All,

Here is an interesting issue that we are running into. I will give as many details as possible to assist with the issue. 

We recently migrated to Office 365 using on prem to sync with AD. One of our team who has a very high email volume has turned a DL into a shared mailbox to mitigate some of the internal traffic that was going on. This is going well, however here are some
issues that we are currently running into.

Sometimes the users will move sub-folders inside of other subfolders unintentionally. For example structure is as follows (all Items are subfolders of “Inbox”) so they might move Inbox–>Subfolder1 into Inbox–>Subfolder2 so it would be Inbox–>Subfolder1–Subfolder2
tree hierarchy. Then they would state they couldn’t see it. Normally I would move it via OWA but some of the sub folders have 5k+ email items and I find that I end up having to re-create the folder in OWA and move the emails to new folder I created so they
can see the folder instantly. 

My question is, is there any way to manually download the folder list or subfolder list? I have tried the following.

1) Almost every option in “Send receive” tab including Work Offline.

2) Closed out of outlook client & reopened.

What are my options in dealing with cached exchange mode not updating the folder/subfolder listing in a quick manner? I have researched all over and most people state to re-create the ost….that isn’t a viable option in this case scenario.

I have Office 365 installed and today after Outlook crashed when setting up an email account it does no t open anymore.

The small windows opens and then it stays in “Loading Profile” and nothing else happens.

I have Office 365 on a Windows 8.1 Pro w/ Media Center PC.

I would like to either merge or import my Contacts [People on the tab] from an older .pst file to a new one on a formatted computer. Aim is to be able to open the new Inbox and have access to the old Contacts, without switching fom one datafile to another.

I currently have a custom domain and use Outlook.com for email.  Microsoft has discontinued new custom domains and will soon stop supporting adminstration of the custom domain.  They want users to move to Office 365.  I’m interested in Office 365 Home.

I’d like to know if I can still confiure an inbound email alias.  And if that is yes, how many?  Today Outlook.com allows one alias per mailbox.

I’ve seen several other posts but mostly from folks who want to use an alias for outbound email which is NOT want I’m asking.

I plan to continue using Outlook.com and not the client software Outlook.  Primarily because of the lack of EAS support on the Mac version of Outlook.

We’re in the process of migrating from Lotus Notes to Office 365.  Our Migration Consultant is telling us that Microsoft can essentially “lock you out” of certain things for running DirSync TOO Often…. Is this true?  How often is too often?  I see guides
for setting the intervals to smaller time periods, but no warnings as how frequently to NOT set that time to.

I was so excited about office 365 and the feature of having my own branded e-mails was the main draw (Ive been hacked too may times with my bt e-mail account) But that enthusiasm is rapidly evaporating.

I’m at the final stage of email configuration with office 365. All illustrated here:

Now my hoster 123 reg says i have to do this:

Change Name servers as microsoft & Contact them to point the domain to 94.136.40.103. Now I have no problem changing name servers but where & who do I contact to point the domain to 94.136.40.103.

So many hurdles 🙁

I have recently purchased office 365 and am currently running office 2007 on my windows 8 system. Should I install 365 before I uninstall 2007 or visa versa. Also how do I migrate my mail over to 365.

I want to ask the same question about Outlook but aimed at a) Mac b) Office 2013, c) Office 365 on different system devices.

It seemed reasonable to post the same question but with different Office Products and System Devices selected. A moderator though otherwise and instead of replying to ask what I was doing, just deleted the posts – really helpful – NOT!

Should I include the above keywords in the title, perhaps? Is there a community protocol?

Hi I have Office home 365. I am trying to connect to an exchange server. I currently access one of four email addresses through Outlook Web App, which is very limiting. All my others work with Outlook proper. I haven’t got POP3 or IMAP options with this
server.

The account setup options are not asking me for the information I’m expecting to give, and don’t properly match those given in the help for Outlook. eventually I found  instructions in Outlook Web App but they say:

Applies to: Office 365 for professionals and small businesses, Office 365 for enterprises, Microsoft Exchange, Live@edu”

Nothing about 365 home.

Is 365 Home hobbled so it won’t work with an Exchange server?
