My goal here is to be able to synchronize my Outlook Calendar (and hopefully Task List) between my Windows 8 phone and my desktop.  I’m using Outlook 2013 version 15.0.4623.1003.

I’ve followed the instructions posted here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2459660

Unfortunately, I’m getting failures when setting up Outlook 2013.  Per the instructions for users who are using Outlook without Exchange, I’ve attempted to add a new email account manually using the “Outlook.com or Exchange ActiveSync compatible
service
” option.

The credentials I’m using on the Server Settings dialog are:

User Information:

Your Name: <my full name>

E-mail Address: <my Live ID email address>

Server Information:

Mail Server: m.hotmail.com

Logon Information:

User Name: <my Live ID email address>

Password: <my Live ID password>

When I enter these credentials, I receive the following error:

“Log onto Exchange ActiveSync mail server (EAS): The username or password you entered isn’t working. Please try typing them again.”

The Live ID email address that I’m supplying is the base address that I’ve used for my Microsoft account since the Passport days.  I’m not using an Outlook alias.  It’s the same ID I’m using on my phone and that I use with the Windows Store and Xbox Live.
If it’s of any consequence, the email address is in the “ix.netcom.com” domain.  (It’s an ancient email address.)  I do have a single Outlook alias, and I’ve tried that as well.

I’ve also tried setting the server to “blu-m.hotmail.com” and “blu405-m.hotmail.com”, which is the server assigned to my Windows Phone account.  The exact same credentials work fine on my phone and Outlook.com.

I’ve also verified that the Microsoft Exchange Add-in, UmOutlookAddIn.dll, is installed and active.

I’d really appreciate any help I can get with this issue.

Is there anyway to know date/time any certain calendar item was entered? Sometimes when there are competing appointments, I need to know who / how / when the appointment was put into the calendar.

I know you can assign permissions for someone to Create items, Create subfolders, Edit own, and Edit all in anothers users calendar. Is it possible to allow users to edit only a specified entry in an Outlook calendar?

When I copy an address from my Outlook Contacts and then try to paste it into the location field for my Outlook Calendar appointment it only pastes the first line of the address.

For some reason, events that I have created in Outlook on my PC, won’t sync with my iPhone through iTunes. I haven’t had a problem with this before, but since last week, there seems to be a glitch. Any suggestions?

We recently upgraded our computer with MS Office 2013 and now my Outlook calendar and contacts won’t synch with my iphone. When I open the calendar on the iphone and enter an appointment then later try to synch with Outlook, the info does not transfer. It
also does not transfer to the phone if I enter it on my PC then try to synch with the phone. Contacts are also not synched.

The iPhone uses OS 7 and the PC is Windows 7 pro 64 bit. I do not want to use iCloud.

Can someone please help me understand how to set up both the phone and the PC to make this happen?

Thank you,

Elisa

My Outlook calendar spontaneously deletes some (not all) upcoming events. I have some events I’ve entered into my calendar three times now, and today they are gone again!  I’m using Office 365. Anyone have an idea what’s going on here?

I recently moved from Windows 7 32bit to 64bits. This required a fresh installation, which I performed on a new, larger harddisk. After installing, I copied all *.pst files with a recent timestamp to my new disk.

My old disk is still there and currently connected to my PC via a USB enclosure.

Today I discovered that my old Outlook 2013 calendar items have not been migrated.
Which file on my old disk contains the calendar, and what do I have to do to import it to my new installation?

I have office 2010 with outlook. Is there a way to just use the calendar without opening outlook all the time?

Also, when putting in an appointment, is tt]here a way to just have the “start time” show on the calendar without the “finish time”

U.S. Navy Seabees “Can Do”

Original Title: Outlook Calendar

Attendees are automatically disappearing from any Outlook 2010 Calendar invitations that I create.
Basically here are the steps I’m using:

  1. In Outlook 2010, create a New Meeting Appointment or New Meeting Request.
  2. Add an Attendee.
  3. Select Send.
  4. I can see that the meeting is saved in the Outlook Calendar.
  5. If I immediately open up the meeting in the Outlook Calendar, I can see that the Attendee is listed on the Calendar “To” line, and the Attendee is also listed in the Scheduling Tab and Tracking Tab.
  6. About 1-2 minutes after the invitation is actually sent if I open up the meeting in the Outlook Calendar, the Attendee is missing from the Scheduling Tab and missing from the Tracking Tab.
  7. If I log into the e-mail account on Hotmail.com and look at the online calendar and view the “Attendees”, it does shows the Attendee listed, and it indicates the Attendee “Hasn’t responded”.

I’ve tried the following to resolve the problem but it has not helped at all:

  1. Uninstalled the Outlook Connector
  2. Removed all accounts from Outlook 2010.
  3. Deleted all .OST files.
  4. Uninstalled Outlook 2010.
  5. Restarted the computer.
  6. Reinstalled Outlook 2010.
  7. Reinstalled the Outlook Connector.
  8. Launched Outlook.
  9. Re-established the connection to the Hotmail account by adding the account.
  10. Re-tested and Attendees are still automatically disappearing from any Outlook 2010 Calendar invitations that I create.

I’m using:

  • Hotmail.com e-mail account
  • Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 2
  • Office Professional 2010
  • Outlook 2010
  • Outlook Hotmail Connector 32-bit (14.0.6123.5001)

I’m hoping that someone can help me with this issue.

Thanks in Advance!

Mike

I am using the outlook calendar on a Dell tablet with Windows 8.1 and Office 2013 Home and Student, and a Nokia Windows 8 phone.  The only problem is that calendar events disappear 90 days after the date they occur.  I’d like to be able to keep a record
of many of them and instead manually delete the ones I don’t want. I have read that the default can be changed, but have not found a way to do it on my devices.

Hello,

how is it possible to set-up autocomplete function in Outlook Calendar 2010 for Subject and Location of the meeting?

Many times I have to create appointment which has the same or very similar Subject or Location as previous appointments, therefore would be very handy if Calendar had autocomplete similar to Mail for contacts.

Thank you,

Jan

I had my outlook calendar published on office.com. After the announcement that microsoft discontinues the service of publishing calendars on office.com I didn’t change anything.

Now I want to move to other webdav service, but when I right-click on my old calendar that used to be published on office.com I have no option to do that. There is also no function “publish on webdav” or “remove from server”, so I can’t do anything. If I
want to delete whole calendar the system says I have no right to do that (even though I work on admin account).

If I create a new calendar, I have all options to publish or remove from server. The issue is that this new calendar isn’t a default one, so if someone accepts my invitations, it’s not recorded in the calendar. Can somebody suggest what I can do? Thanks
in advance,

Lukasz

We use Office 365 for small businesses and have a common problem when creating calendar items and inviting attendees.

Whenever an appointment is created and attendees invited, the attendees themselves cannot add further resources to the appointment. Is there any way to change settings in Exchange or Outlook that will enable invited attendees to add more attendees or resources
via the scheduling assistant?

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help me.

In my workplace I was sent a excel file to import to my outlook calendar (Outlook 2010) which provided me with certain important dates. It works by importing a spreadsheet file that has been set up with all the information in. Clicked
on “File” then “Open” then “Import.” You should see this, select “Import from another program or file.” Now select “Microsoft Excel” as the file type (It may say “Excel 2003” or something similar). Now select browse and find the Excel file “Calendar import
week numbers 2013 to 14” on your desktop or wherever you saved it. Then you import to Calendar.

I am now moving to another position where I no longer need these dates on my calendar – how can I delete this file being used so the dates no longer show up on my calendar? There are a lot of them and they crowd up my calendar and I can’t seem to find
a way to remove them!

Any help would be much appreciated
